Affinity Group Members

SCG keeps members updated on the activities of affinity groups throughout the region, including, Joint Affinity Groups (JAG), Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy (EPIP), Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy (AAPIP), Southern California Blacks in Philanthropy and Hispanics in Philanthropy (HIP).

SCG also collaborates with affinity groups such as SCBIP and JAG in event and program development. Recent programs includes A Conversation with Emmett Carson, Ph.D., at which the President and CEO of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation shared with SC BIP members what it means to be an African American grantmaker in the 21st century.

Networking opportunities have included a private viewing for SCBIP members of a civil rights photography exhibit at the Skirball Cultural Center and the annual JAG Leadership Recognition and Holiday Reception.

The SCG Affinity Exchange is a twice-yearly e-newsletter, reflecting SCG's ongoing commitment to strengthening the work of affinity groups, both individually and collectively, across Southern California.

The Southern California Affinity Groups and Funding Collaboratives Directory (Members Only) is a directory of funder affinity groups, learning networks and philanthropic collaboratives in the Southern California region.
