Foundation Executives and CEOs

Special resources at SCG are developed specifically to address the needs and challenges of foundation leadership. Programs in the Foundation Leadership program series have included A Conversation About the Economy with Larry McGill, at which the Foundation Center's senior vice president of research presented research on the economic downturn and its implications for philanthropic leaders in California. A convening for senior leadership was also held recently with Aileen Adams, deputy mayor at the Office for Strategic Partnership, housed in the City of Los Angeles Mayor's office, to examine how the philanthropic and public sectors can work together more effectively.

The SCG President's Letter is a series of e-communications between SCG President Sushma Raman and senior foundation executives, addressing pertinent new trends and issues impacting the sector. Recent issues have addressed philanthropic leadership relating to public policy and the economic downturn.

The Senior Peer-to-Peer Learning Network is an opportunity for senior foundation program staff to have in-depth exchanges on issues relevant to senior program officers.
