Arts in the Balance
A thriving arts community is essential to the economic health and well being of Los Angeles. Local arts groups and artists create jobs, encourage civic engagement, improve student achievement and enhance the quality of life throughout the region.

Despite this positive impact, SCG’s decade of biennial surveys to assess trends in organized giving to the arts show that neither public nor private funding can be expected to adequately meet the financial needs of LA’s arts community.
