SCG is well known for our highly rated hands-on skills building and professional development programs. Our wide range of offerings caters to philanthropy professionals at all career stages. Our flagship programs include the following:

  • Fundamentals of Effective Grantmaking: In this SCG signature program, local philanthropic leaders introduce new foundation staff to core grantmaking competencies. Participants also join a site visit with a leading local grantmaker.
  • Senior Peer-to-Peer: Bringing together select senior program staff to engage closely with colleagues in the field, this peer network addresses topics related to leadership development, trends in philanthropy, organizational dynamics, and collaboration.
  • Emerging Leaders Peer-to-Peer NetworkThis program brings together select professionals to engage closely with philanthropic colleagues to discuss and reflect on topics related to philanthropy trends and each member’s professional and personal goals.
