Building from a focus in the last Forum on Catalyzing Change across Schools and Systems of Care, the summer 2019 Forum will provide an opportunity for public, private and corporate funders to participate in a strategic planning process envisioning how to create and support thriving children, healthy families and stronger communities through Los Angeles County’s new Regional Plan for Arts Education

We know the arts are fundamental to human growth and development, and a cornerstone of healthy communities. We know that 1 in 7 jobs in LA County are generated by the creative economy and that creative industry workers are paid almost double the countywide average. We also know that young people who receive a well-rounded education that includes the arts are given the tools they need to achieve their full potential.

Join us to share your input on ways to ensure all youth in LA County receive a quality education in which creativity and the arts are inherently included.

In addition, the LA County Arts Commission is hosting a series of Community Forums throughout May and June to inform development of the Regional Plan for Arts Education. We invite you to participate in these public gatherings and encourage you to invite colleagues, grantees, partner organizations, clients, family members and friends to inform the process. Resources to help get the word out about the Community Forums are available on our website and include a printable flyer
