Would you like to learn more about your grantees' advocacy and community organizing strengths and gaps? Have you wondered how you can fund groups that complement each other in order to help strengthen their social change effectiveness?

Join SCG and Alliance for Justice for a training that will provide you with the tools to help build and assess your grantees' advocacy and organizing capacity.

Sue Hoechstetter (@SueAFJ1), Senior Advisor, Foundation Advocacy and Evaluation for the Bolder Advocacy project (@AFJBeBold) of Alliance for Justice (@AFJustice), will lead this special training opportunity to help us address key issues:

  • How foundation board and staff can speak with each other comfortably about advocacy and organizing;
  • How to assist your grantees with their advocacy knowledge; and
  • How assessing advocacy and organizing capacity can strengthen the evaluation process.

Participants will learn about the advocacy and community organizing assessment toolkit, including the soon to be released ACT!Quick, a short version of the Alliance for Justice Advocacy Capacity Tool, and how it can help your grantees.

We'll also hear examples of funder experiences with social change capacity assessment and learn principles for evaluating advocacy and community organizing.

Breakfast will be provided.
