SCG, Community Partners, The Durfee Foundation, and Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy (EPIP LA) invite you to a dynamic conversation about how to maximize the impact of your grantmaking by investing in nonprofit talent.

Specifically, this briefing will explore how investing in the recruitment, retention and retirement of nonprofit talent can ensure a diverse, high performing and enduring workforce in grantee organizations, and how this in turn can help foundations and nonprofits to better accomplish their mutual social change goals.

Rusty Stahl (@RustyStahl), President and CEO of Talent Philanthropy (@FundThePeople) will share research and recommendations from his organization including, a new national initiative helping grantmakers and fundraisers to maximize a healthy, productive charitable workforce.

We’ll also explore fresh conceptual frameworks, current research, real world examples, and practical ideas for nonprofit talent development. Moderated by Claire Peeps (@ClairePeeps), Executive Director, The Durfee Foundation, our panel conversation will feature leading voices from our region’s foundation and nonprofit communities:

  • Rudy Espinoza, Leadership for Urban Renewal Network
  • Johng Ho Song, Koreatown Youth and Community Center
  • Belen Vargas, Vice President of Programs, Weingart Foundation

This discussion complements our conversations around nonprofit capacity building and the Real Cost Project (@RealCostProject).
