The California Criminal Justice Funders Group invites you to learn more about criminal justice issues in our state, connect with other grantmakers in this focus area, and engage in strategy conversations at a special funder convening taking place December 5-6 in Los Angeles.

The California Criminal Justice Funders Group (CCJFG) invests in a wide range of criminal justice reform efforts in our state.

As an active learning community, CCJFG  comes together regularly to share information, learn from one other and from advocates/thought-leaders, create partnerships, collaborate on specific efforts, and leverage our collective capacity on criminal justice issues to enhance our overall impact in the field.

Please join us for some or all of this unique two-day convening:

  • December 5: Half-day site visit to Barry J. Nidorf Juvenile Hall in Sylmar;
  • December 5 (evening): Funders-only dinner at Ledlow in Downtown Los Angeles (sponsored by the John M. Lloyd Foundation and Cal Wellness), and
  • December 6: Full-day funder strategy convening, including a post-election debrief, session on local organizing efforts, and opportunities to strategize about collective action in the coming year.

Funders are welcome to participate in the full two-day convening or select specific activities. This will be a powerful opportunity for funders already connected to criminal justice issues as well as those who are newer to the field who wish to learn more.
