Did you know that one in four eligible Californians is not registered to vote? That our state ranks 45th in the nation in voter registration?

Come meet the candidates vying to be the state’s top elections official at a free California Secretary of State Candidate Forum, taking place March 3rd at The California Endowment.

In the leadup to the June 3rd primary election, candidates will share their perspective on voting rights and their vision for critical issues in California's election system:

  • Same-day voter registration
  • Money in politics
  • Accessible voting
  • Antiquated voting machines
  • Felony disenfranchisement

The forum will be moderated by Azalea Iñiguez, the main anchor of the 6 o’clock evening news at Telemundo Los Angeles. With three Emmy nominations, and four Golden Mike Awards from the Radio and TV News Association, Ms. Iñiguez has shown her talent for investigative reporting as well as anchoring the news.

This event is presented by The California Endowment’s Center for Healthy Communities, the League of Women Voters of California Education Fund, and the American Civil Liberties Union of California. If you have questions, contact [email protected]For more information, click here.

You can also participate in the Future of California Elections Conference, taking place the same day, to learn more about how election reform can expand access to California’s elections. Register for the conference here.
