We are pleased to let you know that the SCG Leadership ExChange for financial executives- hosted by SCG Board Member and Moss Adams Foundation Partner Melissa Harman- has been rescheduled for Monday, July 22nd. We look forward to seeing SCG members already planning to attend, and we encourage those of you who have not yet registered to join your colleagues in the Southern California philanthropic community for lunch, networking and discussion.

This gathering is part of our SCG Leadership ExChange series, designed to bring together small groups of members from across the region to discuss a range of topics that impact our work as grantmakers. SCG’s goal for the series is to facilitate candid, action-oriented dialogue about important issues and solutions being sought by your peers.

The lunch will include a presentation and discussion led by Nancy Young, Certified Fraud Examiner, who will address best practices for preventing, detecting and managing fraud both within and outside of a foundation. An expert in this area, Nancy previously worked for the Oregon Secretary of State Audits Division as an Audit Manager and oversaw the Division’s Fraud, Waste & Abuse investigations team.

In addition to building connections among Southern California’s philanthropic leaders, this lunch is also a special opportunity to meet and connect with Christine Essel in her new role as president of SCG. Our conversation will explore how SCG can have the greatest impact in supporting your work, as the organization considers its next strategic direction.

This event is open to financial executives, staff and advisors at grantmaking organizations.
