The Center for Strategic Partnerships and Southern California Grantmakers invite you to our next Child Welfare Funders Collaborative meeting on March 28, 2019.
This convening will focus on two timely topics related to prevention of children and families entering the child welfare system. Panelists will share information on the exciting Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) Hotline-Community Partnership recently launched by the Office of Child Protection (OCP), DCFS, and the Prevention and Aftercare Networks. Speakers will include:
- Jacquelyn McCroskey, Los Angeles County Commission for Children and Families
- Jennie Feria, Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services
- Carrie Miller, Los Angeles County Office of Child Protection
- Ivonne Molina, Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services
- Michelle Rosemond, Prototypes
The meeting will also include an update and discussion on the Family First Prevention Services Act, which was signed into law in February 2018, and enacted significant reforms to promote child safety, prevent family separation, and more.
We look forward to seeing you there!
