Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy is pleased to announce that The Color of Wealth in Los Angeles report has just been released!

This briefing will provide philanthropists and funders with new data from the report on the economic disparities that exist among various AAPI ethnic groups.

Following remarks by Stewart Kwoh from Asian Americans Advancing Justice - LA (@AAJA_LA), Michael Nailat, United Way of Greater Los Angeles (@LAUnitedWay) will moderate a panel discussion with local AAPI leaders:

  • Melany De La Cruz-Viesca, UCLA Asian American Studies Center (@UCLAAASC)
  • Lisa Hasegawa, National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development (@LisaHasegawa @CAPACD)
  • Ron Fong, Asian Pacific Islander Small Business Program
  • Gerlie Collado, AAPIP-LA and Pasadena Playhouse (@grcollado, @AAPIPLA@PasPlayhouse)

Our discussions will also focus on the implications for AAPI communities in Los Angeles and potential approaches and solutions to closing the gaps.
