Join SCG and the LA Partnership to address Family Engagement in LA County: Investment Opportunities and Next Steps.

A growing tide of policymakers, philanthropic leaders, and early childhood advocates have heralded the need to reimagine and universally embrace approaches to authentic family engagement as a core value and central component of educational and health service delivery systems.

Last summer, the LA Partnership, in conjunction with Harder + Company Community Research, presented Family At the Center, a report on the parent/family engagement landscape in LA County.  The report has generated a great deal of interest and enthusiasm around opportunities for leveraged, coordinated investment opportunities to build on the exciting work already happening across the county.

For the past year, the LA Partnership (@Investinkids), Harder + Company (@HarderCo), First 5 LA (@First5LA) and The David & Lucile Packard Foundation have been working together to map out a more concrete set of investment opportunities in family engagement, based on the rationale developed in the Family at the Center report.

Please join us to hear from an esteemed panel of presenters about opportunities to leverage philanthropic investments for scalable, broad-based impact in the parent and family engagement space in LA County:

  • Antoinette Andrews, Assistant Director of Best Start Communities, First 5 LA
  • Barbara Dubransky, Director of Program Development, First 5 LA
  • Bernadette Sangalang, Program Officer, The David and Lucile Packard Foundation
  • Sonia Taddy, Senior Vice President, Harder + Company Community Research
