Tackling an emerging trend or policy issue of recent concern to philanthropy, Southern California Grantmakers’ new In Focus program series will convene funders to learn about a specific topic, exchange ideas about how philanthropy can address an evolving issue and share updates about their work. By bringing together funders on a quarterly basis over the course of one year, In Focus provides a platform for funders to address key issues through collaboration and action.
Join your grantmaking colleagues for SCG’s first series, which will focus on health care reform. Signed in to law in 2010, the staged implementation of the Affordable Care Act is rapidly impacting communities that we serve. Recognizing the need to understand and quickly adapt SCG members will meet quarterly over one year to hear from experts about pressing changes and exchange ideas about ways funders can respond and prioritize emerging needs.
