About the Series

Foster Together: Transforming Caregiving, Building Community is a five-session conference series offered on Thursday mornings starting October 22nd that aims to knit together LA’s resource parents, practitioners, and County leaders into a community dedicated to the future of L.A.’s foster youth. The series will share breakthrough ways to strengthen caregiver recruitment and support in light of the changes brought about by COVID-19.

The series kicks off at 9:30 am on Thursday, Oct. 22 with OPTIMIZING CAREGIVING IN A VIRTUAL WORLD with an expert panel and community discussion integrating voices from the foster parent community, provider community, and the LA County Department of Child and Family Services. DCFS Chief Deputy Director Virginia Pryor will lead us into this exciting session and series which unearths key data and priorities for our system.
