By the end of June, the U.S. Supreme Court will decide two historic gay rights cases, including a case directly challenging California’s Proposition 8.

California is home to the largest and most diverse LGBT population in the nation, so any outcome by the Supreme Court will have a disproportionate impact on our communities.
Please join local grantmakers in a discussion on what the Supreme Court's rulings could mean for our communities and our grantmaking strategies--from health care to economic security to youth.
We will be joined by one of the leading strategists in the fight for LGBT rights in California, Jenny Pizer. As Director of the Law and Policy Project at Lambda Legal, she will provide in-depth information on the Supreme Court’s decisions and their impact on LGBT people in California. Vincent Jones, a philanthropic advisor and LGBT community leader, will facilitate a conversation amongst attendees about how the Supreme Court decisions might impact our funding landscape and funder strategies.

This event is co-hosted by The California Endowment, Dwight Stuart Youth Fund, Liberty Hill Foundation and Southern California Grantmakers.
