SOLD OUT!

In partnership with Grantmakers for Effective Organizations (GEO), we are pleased to offer SCG members special access to the GEO National Conference taking place in Los Angeles in March 2014.

As an SCG member, you can take advantage of a special discounted registration rate ($150 less than the early-bird, regular, and late registration rates for non-members).

Join more than 650 grantmakers from the philanthropic community to convene and share learning about smarter grantmaking practices that lead to stronger nonprofits and better results. Participants will come away inspired to lead change within their own organizations and equipped with the connections and tools to make change a reality.

Conference sessions will explore the following questions:

  • Supporting nonprofit capacity and sustainability: What are we learning about how best to support nonprofit sustainability?
  • Deepening empathy and engaging stakeholders: How can we best tap the wisdom and experiences of our grantees and other partners to improve our grantmaking?
  • Embracing evaluation and learning: How can we use evaluation and learning to make real-time improvements to our work?
  • Supporting collective action: How can we best partner with other funders, grantees, corporations or government agencies to grow our impact?

The conference will also include a variety of dynamic speakers:

  • Judy Belk, Senior Vice President, Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors
  • Jim Canales, President and Chief Executive Officer, The James Irvine Foundation
  • Daniel Cardinali, President, Communities In Schools
  • Patrick McCarthy, President and Chief Executive Officer, The Annie E. Casey Foundation
  • Manuel Pastor, Professor of Sociology and American Studies and Ethnicity, University of Southern California
  • Gregory Rodriguez, Publisher and Executive Director, Zocalo Public Square and Columnist, Los Angeles Times)

We hope to see you there!
