Join us for the next LA Arts Funders Meeting on Thursday, July 11, from 10 am – 12:30 pm at the Marciano Art Foundation.

This meeting will feature an interactive hands-on experience at the GENESIS STEAM Innovation Lab, as well as a private tour of the Marciano Art Foundation’s collection and current exhibitions, including OBSIDIAN LADDER, the first large-scale solo exhibition in the United States by Bolivian American artist Donna Huanca. As usual, there will also be time to exchange updates and help requests among participants.

GENESIS sparks interest in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) education with hands-on experiences that combine project-based learning and design thinking, giving underserved students opportunities to apply their skills to real life challenges. Together with prestigious museum partners such as the Marciano Art Foundation, GENESIS is building a national network of museum-based STEAM Innovation Labs that will bring together technology and art to power the next phase of the STEAM education revolution, reaching tens of thousands of students nationwide.

The Marciano Art Foundation (MAF) strives to enhance and contribute to the undeniable vibrancy of contemporary artistic activity in Los Angeles. MAF implements this through thoughtful presentations of its collection, innovative commissions, site-specific installations and the development of an active educational program for students of all ages. MAF’s programs aim to teach audiences how to look at contemporary art and ideas at large with open minds and to embrace the questions they give rise to with thoughtfulness and curiosity.
