Join us for the next LA Arts Funders Meeting on Thursday, May 9, from 10 am – noon at Avenue 50 Studio.

This meeting will feature a conversation with Anne Bown-Crawford, Executive Director of the California Arts Council (CAC). The CAC builds public will and resources for the arts; fosters accessible arts initiatives that reflect contributions from all of California’s diverse populations; serves as a thought leader and champion for the arts; and provides relevant programs and services. Anne will share updates on the CAC’s grant programs, initiatives and proposed state funding increase, as well as her perspective on the health of arts ecosystems across California.

As usual, there will also be time to exchange updates and help requests among participants.

About Avenue 50 Studio

The Avenue 50 Studio is an arts presentation organization grounded in Chicana/o and Latina/o culture, visual arts, and the Northeast Los Angeles area. We seek to build bridges of cultural understanding through artistic expressions. We develop programming to inform our community through innovative projects that connect artists, students, academics, and members of the community. Avenue 50 is committed to providing a place where the life and artistic interests of an under-served community can be made visible.
