This 90-minute workshop is for leaders who want to lead with authenticity and know that practice makes progress. The Noticing Mind is a fresh way to reimagine your leadership development. The Noticing Mind begins with the practice of gratitude. Gratitude makes good visible. However, this practice of noticing what we value also helps us see what we take for granted and make invisible. When we can see both the visible and invisible, we create the Noticing Mind.
The Noticing Mind helps us become aware of the hidden wholeness of what is seen and unseen. Our blind spots hide in the unseen. Without awareness of these biases, we hit both the accelerator and the brakes of our leadership growth. Awareness of our hidden wholeness allows us to act with greater love and compassion. When you develop the Noticing Mind, you are better able to adapt and find courage in uncertainty. In this space, your joy comes alive. Joy is not just resistance, it is resilience. Investing in your resilience is essential to you thriving in your professional leadership journey.
Participants from the Gratitude and Authentic Leadership session can grow their understanding of how the practice of gratitude can be expanded. However, the Noticing Mind workshop does not require this initial session.
Led by Omar Brownson, Co-Founder and CEO of gthx, whose mission is to make good visible. Omar is the former founding Executive Director of the nonprofit RiverLA. He’s held leadership positions across finance, urban development, and social impact.
