The Foundation Aging Network (FAN) is an informal group of grantmakers from across all of Southern California interested in sharing issues related to serving an older adult population.

When thinking about homelessness, the issues of older adults don't immediately come to our mind. Homeless elders, although increasing in numbers, continue to be a forgotten population. The older adult population is growing rapidly. Homeless adults are aging and it is estimated that homeless older adults will more than double by 2050.

Purposeful Aging Update

In 2016, the Los Angeles Region was designated by the World Health Organization to participate in its network of Age Friendly Cities and Communities. An update of milestones to date will be presented along with ways to become involved "To make the Los Angeles region the most age friendly in the world.”

We will begin at 11:00 a.m. with informal networking and member updates, followed by lunch at 12:15 p.m.

Lunch will be hosted by Archstone Foundation. Parking validation will be provided.
