The early childhood field has decades of data, research and evidence-based programs that demonstrate the health, education and fiscal impacts of investing in the early years. Polls also consistently show strong public support for investing in early care and education, including a recent statewide poll by the Silicon Valley Community Foundation that found nearly nine in 10 voters support greater spending on young children.

So why isn’t investing in early childhood a top priority for state and federal policy makers?

At the LA Partnership’s Quarterly Meeting, we’ll hear from experts about how to build an effective movement - one that translates research, best practices, coalition building and advocacy into political power and policy change. They’ll share their experience about the key ingredients that make some movements successful while others fail to turn public support into systems change.
