Long before Hurricane Harvey hit Texas and Irma and Maria devastated many Caribbean islands, we began planning a panel about the refugee crisis. In the midst of these catastrophic events, the Red Cross continues to work with refugees here in the United States and around the world in response to war, famine, natural disaster and the other issues influencing migration and displacement.

Co-hosted by the American Red Cross Los Angeles Region and Southern California Grantmakers, the event will serve as a forum to discuss the continuing refugee crisis and how nonprofits, individuals and the philanthropic community can respond.

Moderated by our regional CEO, Jarrett Barrios, the panel will include:

  • Jono Anzalone, Vice President, International Services, American Red Cross

  • Jenelle Eli, Director of International Communications, American Red Cross

  • Mercedes Rodriguez, International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)

Questions or replies? Please contact Jake Windham, Event Marketing Manager, at [email protected].

We hope to see you there!
