Los Angeles voters have spoken, approving ballot measures that will generate more resources toward reducing homelessness than our region has ever known. With $1.2 billion committed to building affordable housing, and hundreds of millions in tax-generated dollars for support services, the table appears set for success. Now that resources have been secured, the real work begins in ending homelessness for 47,000 Angelenos: engaging neighborhoods tapped for new housing sites, ensuring our most vulnerable residents get the help they need, and moving the needle on an issue that has long cast a dark shadow on the City of Angels. Join Bill Pitkin of the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, the largest private funder of homelessness solutions; Elise Buik of the United Way of Greater Los Angeles; Phil Ansell of the Los Angeles County Homeless Initiative; Alisa Orduna, Homelessness Policy Director for Mayor Eric Garcetti, and other leaders as they explore the road ahead to ending homelessness in Los Angeles.
