The Los Angeles Funders’ Collaborative steering committee invites you and other interested funders for a lunchtime conversation on building sustainable, equitable and healthy communities in Los Angeles. This conversation builds upon our previous funder briefings held in partnership with Southern California Grantmakers on building healthy, equitable communities, equitable transportation and climate change. This gathering is an opportunity to learn, share and build relationships with other funders interested in the intersection of these issues.

Joining us to discuss issues related to smart growth will be Denny Zane, Executive Director of Move LA, a broad constituency advocating for the development of a comprehensive, diverse, robust, clean, and financially sound public transportation system for Los Angeles County and champion strategies to accelerate its implementation.

The Los Angeles Funders’ Collaborative was launched in 2011. The Collaborative aims to harness the changes being catalyzed by landmark transportation and environmental policies to create equitable, healthy, sustainable communities in Los Angeles County. At this lunch, members of the Los Angeles Funders’ Collaborative steering committee will share what they’re currently working on and would also like to hear more about your grantmaking priorities. The intended audience for this lunch are grantmaking funders with at least $250,000 in annual giving. Space is limited to 40 funders. To help us plan the lunch program, we invite you to fill out this quick survey

The LA Funders’ Collaborative is an initiative of a statewide network of funders called Smart Growth California and the national Funders’ Network for Smart Growth and Livable Communities. It is also a peer group of the Southern California Grantmakers
