You're invited to join the next meeting of the California Foster Youth Funders Group, which will feature Greg Rose, Deputy Director of California Department of Social Services.

This meeting will dive deeper into the Family First Act and explore how the bill may impact our youth.

We will discuss the recent effort to pass federal legislation in the form of the Family First Act, which also addresses prevention and the reduction of youth in congregate care. The child welfare community nationally has expressed concerns with the bill and California is taking the lead in creating opportunity for amendments to address the identified concerns.

The Family First Act could have significant ramifications on foster youth, as well as kin-care, should it pass as it stands.
