Join the next Los Angeles Arts Funders meeting to hear from Lexi Brown about Artadia's active awards program in Los Angeles, which funds artists in cities that demonstrate a commitment to contemporary art.

At the meeting, participants will also discuss the upcoming rollout of demographics data from the Cultural Data Project, an interchange where cultural organizations, grantmakers, researchers, and advocates meet and provide perspectives and opportunities for collaboration.

There will also be plenty of networking time with your arts-focused peers, as well as opportunities to share updates and discuss topics of interest for the group to explore in 2016.

Lexi Brown is a private art dealer and advisor with nearly 20 years of experience in the contemporary art world. She has studied with the California Conceptualists Alan Kaprow and Eleanor Antin at UC San Diego’s MFA program. In 2002 Brown established her own program at The Happy Lion in Chinatown where she developed an internationally respected roster of emerging artists from LA and abroad. In 2011 she founded the gallery Nye + Brown, focusing on the LA based “Perceptualists” including James Turrell and Judy Chicago.
