The SCG Veterans Funders Group invites you to a Roundtable Discussion with USAF Commander (ret). Christopher Ford, CEO of the National Association of Veteran-Serving Organizations.

With over 45,000 nonprofits claiming to serve veterans and military families, how are funders to discern authenticity? Effectiveness? Leadership?

What are the emerging challenges and opportunities in serving this hard-to-reach population?

Chris Ford is a 20-year Air Force veteran; he retired in 2014 from the Joint Chiefs of Staff where he served in the Chairman’s Office of Warrior and Family Support.

He is the founder of the nation's first and now largest association of veteran-serving nonprofits.

The National Association of Veteran-Serving Organizations (NAVSO) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of our veterans and military families.

NAVSO uses technology to join together veteran-serving organizations in a national network to improve collaboration, inform research, offer educational programming, and facilitate evaluation of meaningful services.

Ford's perspective at the intersection of military life and civilian society is comprehensive and can help illuminate many of the issues facing veteran-serving grantmakers.

Please come prepared with questions and a desire to join in the dialogue!
