SCG is pleased to partner with Town Hall Los Angeles on a special conversation with Ted Craver, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Edison International, on which electricity source will dominate our energy future. 

Since the California Solar Initiative launched in 2007, solar power generators have been installed on more than 130,000 California homes and businesses. Falling prices and easy financing terms have made solar power a real option for many Californians. This phenomenon, known as “distributed energy,” promises to fundamentally change the electric power system of the future. The job for utilities today is how to best manage the technical and financial challenges while facilitating this distributed energy future and providing customers with more choices. And because electricity is a vital commodity that no one can live without, all of this change has to be done fairly and affordably. 

What might the electric grid of the future look like and how will these changes affect electricity consumers in their homes and businesses? Ted Craver, who has been positioning Edison International to adapt to this new energy reality, will provide an outlook and discuss how the utility will continue to serve its 14 million customers.
