Pay for Success (PFS) is an innovative contracting model that drives government resources toward high-performing social programs where funders provide capital to address a critical social issue, nonprofits deliver the services, evaluators rigorously measure outcomes, and the government replays the funders if the project successfully achieves positive outcomes.

Ventura County has two PFS projects: First 5 Ventura County’s preschool PFS is in the feasibility phase, and Interface Children & Family Services recidivism PFS project is being implemented and evaluated! We will learn about these PFS projects and hear from the grantees on the success and challenges for their programs. We’ll close with a facilitated discussion around how the Ventura County Funders Forum can support future PFS projects in our region.
