Wellness, Balance and Health During the New Normal

Thursday, January 28, 2021
4:00pm - 5:00pm PST

Join us for a Southern California Latinxs in Philanthropy (SCLP) mixer and virtual event to kick off the new year! This will be a great opportunity to meet SCLP’s new steering committee members and to get to know one another. The event will also feature Margarita Luna, MSW, MPH, CPC and Senior Program Manager at the California Endowment, who will share pointers on how you can incorporate more self-care in your daily life and maintain a healthy work-life balance into 2021. Please register by 5:00 pm on January 26th.

Margarita Luna, MSW, MPH, CPC

Senior Program Manager, Eastern Coachella Valley at The California Endowment

Margarita Luna is a social justice warrior in every facet of her life. From infusing humanity into philanthropy for the past 13 years to coaching fellow social justice warriors to care for themselves as much as they care for their communities, to raising her two young sons to be feminists...Margarita is about walking her purpose through whatever paths that are manifested in her life.

As a former therapist and community advocate, Margarita draws upon her previous experience supporting families and advancing the health and well-being of the most underserved in her coaching practice. She understands why social justice folks want to make change and helps them find ways to sustain their roles as social change agents. Margarita blends her therapist training with coaching skills to unpack the root cause of our actions and beliefs that keep us from feeling aligned with our true purpose and values. Compassion and authenticity are the values that drive Margarita's life and choices.
