Established in 1995, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) is the official team charity of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Harnessing the power of the Dodger brand and a passionate fan base, LADF works to significantly impact underserved youth in some of the most challenged neighborhoods of Los Angeles. LADF leverages key partnerships to administer direct programs serving youth and communities at large and provides grants to local nonprofit organizations. LADF uses three pillars to guide its work: Sports + Recreation, Education + Literacy and Health + Wellness.


The Manager of Youth Programs is a new position resulting from our recent strategic planning process, which identified the Youth Programs department as a key area for growth within the organization. The role is a direct response to the need to increase presence and build stronger relationships within local communities and among LADF’s program partners. Candidates must be willing to take initiative in cultivating this role with expectations that although we are associated with a world class organization, we remain a small team with non-profit resources. Reports to:                         Director, Youth Programs


Objective:                           Under the direction of the Director, Youth Programs this position will ensure effective implementation of LADF’s youth baseball and softball programs, Dodgers RBI and Dodgers Dreamfields. The successful candidate will maintain consistent communication with all Dodgers RBI and Dodgers Dreamfields sites in an effort to ensure programs requirements are carried out efficiently. This position will also oversee the Dodgers RBI Field Champions, designed to be day- to day contacts with program sites. Individual will maintain database, files and registration software that contain affiliate partner and program beneficiaries’ information. Strong customer relations orientation required to ensure relationships are managed appropriately.



  • Manage the implementation of Youth Programs, Dodgers RBI and Dodgers Dreamfield at all sites to ensure compliance with all aspects of program requirements and ensure quality control
  • Provide on the ground support and regular check-ins at 68+ Dodgers RBI locations and 50+ Dodgers Dreamfield locations
  • Oversee the Dodgers RBI registration platform, LeagueApps and provide ongoing customer service to partners
  • Work with Manager, Strategy and Impact to collect relevant information from partners to evaluate Youth Programs
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with youth organizations, city departments, location directors, and project consultants as needed
  • Onboard and manage the Dodgers RBI Field Champions staff towards effective collaboration with program partners
  • Provide leadership for Youth Programs coordinators and associates, producing ongoing site reports and auditing partners, as necessary
  • Contribute to the development of sports, education and health program elements and special event logistics per the annual calendar


  • Oversee Dodgers Dreamfields community events, town hall meetings, groundbreakings, and dedications/grand openings
  • Work with the communications team on program highlights for blogs, press releases, articles, and more
  • Be a leader in advancing a youth development through sport culture
  • Support other LADF programs and initiatives as necessary


Core Competencies and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 3 years in youth and community serving organizations with management experience required
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends when necessary
  • Strong skills managing people, processes, and timelines
  • Experience and knowledge of baseball and softball
  • Ability to interact respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and cultures
  • Ability to conduct multiple tasks while maintaining focus on the goals at hand
  • A desire to achieve and lead others toward excellence
  • Exceptionally motivated, organized and detail-oriented; team player with a willingness to help where required
  • Highly effective oral and written communicator with the ability to adapt to a wide range of communication styles
