Member Driven Programming

SCG represents more than 200 of Southern California’s leading foundation, corporate, individual and government funders. Our members are uniquely positioned to share their knowledge, skills and expertise with their peers.

We are deeply committed to listening to our members’ needs and providing opportunities to learn and to lead. We convene advisory groups to drive many SCG programs, from our family philanthropy council and corporate council to our flagship conferences and our work on STEM+Arts education, veterans issues, and more. Please contact us if you would like to serve on an advisory council. We also encourage all SCG members to contact us anytime with ideas for programs you’d like to lead.

In addition, we recognize the incredible power of peer learning among our region’s philanthropy leaders. We seek to facilitate the work of affinity groups and funder groups by serving as a convener and by shining a light on the many formal and informal groups already doing excellent work in our region. Please see our directory of issue-based, affinity, and professional interest groups.
