Emerging Practioners in Philanthropy Los Angeles Chapter Announces Newest Giving Circle Grantee

Wednesday, September 9, 2015

Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy - Los Angeles Chapter (EPIP LA) is excited to announce its newest Giving Circle grantee. After completing the group's second ever round of grantmaking, the EPIP LA Giving Circle voted to donate to The Painted Brain. A collection of artists, musicians, poets, and writers, The Painted Brain's programs help to reduce the stigma of mental illness through creative expression.

EPIP LA's Giving Circle has given nearly $4,000 to its grantees through individual donations of only $10 each month from 18 Giving Circle members.

The Giving Circle makes two grants each year, and meets in person every few months to discuss new organizations, share nominations, and meet with representatives from potential grantees. This program has served as a casual, engaging and fun experiment, resulting in significant gifts to support local partners doing great work.
