SCG Senior Peer-to-Peer 2013

Senior Peer-to-Peer provides in an intimate setting to develop leadership skills over time, and to prepare up-and-coming leaders for future endeavors. The 2013-2015 cohort is facilitated by John Kobara, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the California Community Foundation.

Bringing together select senior program staff to engage closely with colleagues in the field, this peer network addresses topics related to leadership development, trends in philanthropy, organizational dynamics, and collaboration. For the past eight years, SCG has invested in developing senior level leadership in philanthropy through this network, which now consists of more than 30 senior leaders from three graduating cohorts. Past cohorts have been facilitated by Jim Canales, president and chief executive officer of The James Irvine Foundation, Joan Weinstein, interim director of The Getty Foundation and Claire Peeps, executive director of The Durfee Foundation. Participants have included senior program officers, program directors and vice presidents from a range of member foundations, including the Weingart Foundation, the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation and the W.M. Keck Foundation, the American Honda Foundation, the Amgen Foundation and the California Community Foundation.
