Cal Bike Coalition - Justification for a Joint Legislative Select Committee on Transportation Equity

Publication date:
11/10/2017

Transportation connects people to places, and is a major determinant of access to opportunity and economic mobility. At the same time, it powerfully shapes both the location and the nature of development and land-use, whether that be a suburban subdivision accessible to a freeway exit, luxury
condominiums a short walk from a rail station, or a warehouse district near a port. In short, transportation creates both benefits (like access to opportunity) and burdens (like exposure to toxic emissions).

Report on California Approach to Education and Implementation of OMB 2 CFR200

Publication date:
07/26/2017

Among the challenges nonprofits face in providing high-quality service and producing strong outcomes to their work, managing the limited overhead allowed by most private and government grant and contracts is one of the toughest. Over the past several years, there have been efforts to explain how the “overhead myth” – that the best nonprofits operated with the least overhead – hampers service delivery, jeopardizes nonprofits’ sustainability and ultimately reduces the impact of public and private funding and to find collaborative solutions that will strengthen nonprofit organizations.
