During the last several years, place-based community change1 initiatives have experienced renewed attention across the country with considerable funding and support from both public and private funders. Despite the growing number of such efforts, their implementation has not been systematically evaluated and literature on place-based process evaluations is very limited. Nonetheless, there is a growing body of place-based literature that highlights best practices, considerations, and lessons learned.
