The latest in health journalism funding

With the growing concern about the spread of coronavirus around the world, and with the increasing interest in health and heath policy in our presidential debates, we’re focusing our next Journalism Funders webinar on some developments in philanthropic support for health journalism.

We’ll hear from:

  • David Rousseau, Vice President for Media and Technology at the Kaiser Family Foundation and Chairman of the Board of Directors for Media Impact Funders, who will moderate the discussion and share some insight into Kaiser’s support of podcasts focusing on health
  • Dan Gorenstein, Executive Producer and Co-Host of the health podcast Tradeoffs, which focuses on stories at the intersection of health care, policy and people
  • Caitlin Ellis, Program Manager at the National Institute for Health Care Management (NIHCM) Foundation, will talk about the foundation’s support of health journalism training
  • Mary Lou Fulton, Program Director, California Endowment, will share lessons learned from her experience as a longtime health funder

When

Wednesday, March 16 from 9:00 AM to 10 AM, Pacific Time (PT)

This an invitation to our March Journalism Funders Network webinar. As part of our work with the Journalism Funders Network, we regularly host webinars to help funders find common points of entry to make their work more effective and efficient through strategic partnerships. All funders can—and are encouraged to—participate in these calls even if they are not a part of the Journalism Funders Network.
