Marketing and Communications Officer, The Community Foundation

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Member of the Senior Leadership Team.
- In concert with the Senior Leadership Team, create the annual- (or multi-year) Marketing Plan. After review and input by the Marketing Committee and presentation to the Board, implement the Marketing Plan with attention to quality and deadlines.
- Develop and implement Public Relations Plan as part of the Marketing Plan which includes researching media outlets, building and strengthening relationships with media, keeping abreast of philanthropic news trends, updating media directory, pitching story ideas, writing press releases, fact-checking, acting as point person for all media contact, and drafting media coverage reports.
- Write, develop, proof, draft and prepare marketing, public relations and other collateral materials and documents with the objective to promote a positive, strategic image and brand for the Foundation principally within our targeted audiences as well as with
broader audiences.
- Ensure that Foundation staff and board are familiar with key messages and are communicating them consistently and accurately. Administer revised organizational message deck and method for training staff and board on core messages.
