Event Overview
How can funders address the targeted capacity building needs of nonprofits, at scale, throughout Southern California? The Annenberg Foundation and Catchafire, working with other Southern California funders and SCG, are building a regional collaborative that will focus on nonprofit sustainability in an innovative new way.

The limited life approach in philanthropy has received increased attention in recent years. But across foundations, perpetuity is often still seen to be the default, and there is considerable uncertainty about the practice of spending down.
This report summarizes TCWF's evaluation experiences as they shifted from proactive grantmaking to grantmaking in response to unsolicited letters of interest and allowing them to change their evaluating structure.
